Diamond

“Diamond is Forever”-a very true statement because diamond is the hardest element on earth. Technically Diamond is a form of carbon and is an extremely beautiful stone. Ever women love to have diamond as it is very beautiful and very expensive. Now let us understand all the important facts related to diamond before having one.

The four C’s of Diamond:-
Whenever we need to describe a Diamond then the four C’s are the best way to define it and you must know about these four before buying one. The four C’s stand for Carat weight, colour, clarity, and cut.
1. Carat weight- Diamond of large size is very rare and really very expensive. For measuring a Diamond we need a measuring scale which is specially used for diamonds called carat. There are 100 points in carat. We can understand this with example of dollar, as a dollar has 100 cents similarly a carat has 100 points. Only the diamond having 100 points is of one carat.
The price of Diamond rises dramatically as increase in size and carat because large Diamonds are very rare.
Diamonds of equal carat may also have difference in their prices due to other factors like colour, clarity, and cut.
2. Colour- If we talk about the colour then the whiter the Diamond is, It is more rare and more expensive. Diamonds exist in a very wide colour range from light yellow to brown and even with no colour at all.
Almost all Diamonds have a slight shading of yellow colour when a Diamond professional grades it. With increasing yellow colour the Diamond becomes less rare and hence less expensive.
Diamonds are graded by colour with letter grades, which begin with "D" (almost colourless) and continuing down through the alphabet.

3. Clarity- The term clarity for a Diamond refers to internal clearness. It means that how much clear and clean the diamond is form inside. Some of the natural Diamond is so clear that no flawless characteristics can be seen even in 10X magnification.
As a Diamond's inclusions are more obvious, they affect the path and passage of light through the Diamond, and thereby affect its brilliance. As the inclusions increases in a Diamond, the clarity grade is lower, and the Diamond is less rare.

4. Cut- The beauty of Diamond can be much more enhanced by cutting it properly. When a Diamond is cut properly by a profession then some things are taken care of, the Diamond must be not cut too deep or too shallow. This can result to less brilliant and less beautiful Diamond. When a Diamond is crafted properly then it leads to excellent brilliance. It shines a lot and gives an excellent rainbow shine.
